To be honest, not everyone of us likes to clean? Some people like to clean, some not. It's a tedious and boring task. Though everyone likes the final clean result. Sometimes I just dread it and delay it as much as possible until the end of the week. What cleaning means to you?
Is it just a chore that you need to do or something more profound? Can you relate the way someone cleans with their character or idea of life? Can we say that if someone have dirt or a little clutter of items in their room, they are most probably a bad person? Or the opposite, whether keeping your home immaculate makes you a better person with a better life?
For me I personally like my private space to be cleaned and fresh but there are moments when I am too tired to do it or short of time. Mothers are the people that usually urge us to clean. And I sometimes want to say "Hey, mom, we have other stuff to do, lives to live!" Sometimes mothers can be harsh without realizing it.
We all can confess that it's not always possible in our busy everyday lives to keep our homes always shiny and ready to have its photo on a magazine cover. I don't think that we should live in a mess, but how to actually manage with our cleaning easily, and still enjoy our lives and have plenty of time? Is it an impossible task to have a well-cleaned place most of the times? Hiring a maid? This is an option, though not a free one. But it can be really helpful in times when you are changing places and don't have enough time to clean the place yourself.
For example, it happens to me sometimes during holiday seasons when we our family receive many guests. In the whole business of decorating and preparation of tasty dishes we cannot clean properly. In such cases I can recommend getting help from a professional cleaning company such as Sunny Clean. For instance, they offer the cleaning service End of Tenancy Cleaning which can be really helpful when moving in so that to avoid having trouble with your landlord.
On first sight this option may seem impractical but if you consider the time and the money you will spend to clean the whole place yourself, the idea of hiring a professional company may become more attractive. They will complete the task not only faster than you, but also in a more efficient way because they use professional equipment. If you can't afford this, don't worry because, fortunately, there are many tricks which we can use to improve our cleaning and turn it form a chore to an enjoyable experience. Here are they:
Break the big task:
We can actually achieve more if we do something little everyday instead of leaving it for the last moment. So delaying is not acceptable. If we try to clean as we go along, at the end of the week we won't be burdened by a huge task. For example just set the goal of cleaning some spot or just one room in a specific day of the week. Pay attention to the rooms you use most and the places that have high-traffic. Create your own cleaning schedule according to your way of life. You will get into the habit of doing this over time and enjoy more free time for yourself.Keep your cleaning tools handy:
If you store your mops, towels, detergents, brushes and other cleaning stuff in an easily accessible convenient place where you can find them fast, you're likely to be more efficient in your cleaning and it won't be a gruesome task to you. You can even carry the chief tools that you need with yourself while moving through the rooms. Put them in a basket or a caddy and you're ready. You will save more time in this way. Simplifying is the key!
The timer is your friend:
Realx! You don't have to overexert yourself as if you're on a competition. It may seem ridiculous at first to use a timer to clean, but actually this trick may urge you to clean even more. For example set it for 30 min. and do only cleaning during this time period. Just try not to distract too much and you will see how more you will get done in this way.Listen to music:
You will not even realize how fast time will fly if you turn on the sound and go along with your tasks. In fact, many researches show that music boost your productivity and make you work faster and your tasks a bit more enjoyable. That's a kind of multitasking. You both enjoy your favourite music and tackle the home cleaning.
Declutter:
For me personally this one is the hardest things to do. There are times when we have to let go and get rid off the things we don't use anymore. It may be hard to separate with some things, but we have to. Live goes on! Just try not to think much about the memories connected with these items. Sometimes we let the material things overtake our lives. Don't let various items to collect gradully out of control on your countertops or on the top of cupboards. Take a trashbag or a basket, go in each room and quickly check for the things that are useless. Put all items in the basket that just take space and gets in your way such as old magazines, pictures, toys, clothes in your wardrobe that you won't wear in the next 100 years, etc. In this way you will clean even more easy as you will have less obstacles. When you don't need something, put it immediately on the place where it belongs to. In the future you will be thankful to yourself that you did this.
Believe it or not, by following some of these tips cleaning may become easy as pie for you. And last but not least, don't forget to be realistic. Set as a goal achievable tasks and don't be a perfectionist. After all I doubt that your guests will remember every detail of your home environment. They will remember the experience of their stay and the overall impression.
