Time is running out





Let's turn the clock back

Make the time your friend, not your enemy

Everyone should agree that time is one of the most valuable sources we have and most importantly, it never comes back. When it once passes, you can bring a past moment again for you to change it. It just goes by. So in this case we have to think of some way to win the race with time, to deceive it if you wish. Because sometimes I am a bit of  a slacker and lazy, I have encountered several time issues in my life and there were some of them that caused me some real problems. Personally, I usually want  even the last detail to be as good as possible but unfortunately this is not always possible in our busy lives. As a girl I love make-up and evry morning I wish to have more time to perfect it a bit better. I think that is a very common problem among the girls. Not to mention the hair! Gosh, I doubt that I will  catch the bus.But let's go back to the time topic.  I am just such a person that pays attention to the little details in the clothes and the overall appearance and this takes time. Consequently I started to ask myself what is more important - to look always immaculately or to be on time. I think it is the second. But how exactly to have all the things? How some people seem to have more hours in the day than others? To do more in your day is a goal of many people I guess.  So in this case, if I want to save time and manage to do more, I decided to try some tricks to save time.


Productivity hacks:

1. Start with the hardest thing

It may sound scary, but if you manage to tackle your hardest task first, after that you will feel a sense of accomplishment and more better than your self. The burden from your list is gone and you can procede with your daily tasks. If you get into this habit with time it will become more easy to you to perform your tasks like that.

2. Make a plan for your day

I recently realized how important is to pre-plan your day. Before that I just ''dived'' into the day without ever thinking which task comes first and which-second. Plans work especially when we have a lot of tasks to do. If we limit our list of important things to do just to 3 things, we won't be feeling overwhelmed by the ''mountain'' of job we have to do. Try scheduling even the smallest chores, this will help you get a bigger picture of your day. If you are a busy person, timetables are crucial to you.


3. .Absolutely no multitasking

It is true that we won't be able to accomplish a single thing if we do many things at once. But this stuff happens a lot in our lives. It won't be fatal if  you multitask not very important chores. For example doing the ironing/ cooking while watching your TV programme. Or eating and scrolling on your computer (one of my sins). But in case when you do something important or something related to your job, it is absolutely necessary to get rid off any distractions. Focus fully on just one task and you will see how many things you will get done. In this way you add quality to your work.


4. Clean your desk

As we are talking for distractions, the things from our environment may effect our concentration levels in more ways than we think. For instnce, these can be the specific colours or items in your room. We have to pay a special attention to our work place in this case, that's usually our desk. You should keep it really organized and clean. Use for a decoration colours or items that you like and do not distract you much.


4. Have a break, you're a human

It is important to take breaks, but they have to be short, because otherwise it will be counter-productive to you. If you take even five-minute-break from your work, this will help you a lot. ''Refresh'' your brain, talk to someone, have a drink, see an interesting picture or even read about some different topic from this your are working on. After that bring your attention again to your task and enjoy the results.

5. Feed yourself

Well, we all know that food is important but not all food is good for our productivity. There are products that can make us sleepy and not enough alert. Our goal will be to eat foods that are nutrient-rich, sustain our energy and keep us focused throughout the day. The list includes salmon (or any other kind of fatty fish; the omega-3 is good for your brain), green tea (one of my personal best), dark chocolate (the magic ingredient is cocoa and the more of it ,the better for your productivity), eggs (another healthy option because of vitamin B known as choline, which stimulates brain's  sensors for reaction), water (it's not only effective but it is good for your budget). You may choose just one food that you like, the trick is to be consistent.


6. Listen to some music

It shouldn't be classical, contrary to the myth that classical music is the source of all genious ideas. Any other music that you like and makes you fell good will do the job. I usually choose mny mysic depending on my mood. And when we feel good, we are consequently more productive. Put your headphones and work your magic!

Finally, we are all different, so if the aforementioned tips don't work for you, then you can find something that works for you because you are unique!
